In 50 Gems of South Devon , landscape photographer Gary Holpin takes the reader to some of his favourite places within the region that he now calls home. After moving to East Devon in 2003, and walking the South West Coast Path, Gary fell in love with the county and photographing the beauty of its coast and countryside. During that time his knowledge and passion for Devon has continued to grow.

Together with some well-known holiday locations, Gary highlights a diverse range of fabulous places across South Devon, East Devon and Dartmoor. He includes secluded estuaries, sheltered copses, remote Dartmoor Tors and stone circles. In sharing his fifty favourite locations, and some of the colourful events on the local calendar, he hopes that visitors to this part of Devon will be inspired to get off the beaten track and enjoy exploring and experiencing these gems for themselves.
